Sales of homes tend to dip at the end of the year. People are buying massage chairs, novelty items, and the newest gaming system "for my nephew." So it's no surprise that sales for single family homes and condos in Coronado dropped beginning in September. What is surprising is that beginning in November, the 3-month moving average price of single family homes rose November through December and condos remained level through the end of the year with a peak in sales in October.
One thing is for sure: real estate in San Diego doesn't take a hard hit. Even though the rest of the country is suffering from lagging real estate sales and prices, Coronado is among the first communities in San Diego that rebounds. This community with these statistics is a prime example of why you need to put your dollars into San Diego real estate when you can afford to. Your portfolio won't be mad.
